Multimodal input: every way Notara captures voice
Face-to-face, phone calls, app control, voice activation, external mic and Bluetooth/USB transfer — how the Notara AI recorder captures audio.
Notara is an ultra-thin (3.2 mm, 32 g) credit-card-size AI voice recorder with 64 GB of storage, up to 35 h of recording, and ChatGPT-4 transcription and summaries in 152 languages, shipped free by DHL from Germany.

One device for every situation
Most voice recorders only do one thing well. Notara combines a built-in microphone for the room, a bone-conduction microphone for calls and an input for an external mic, so meetings, lectures, interviews and phone calls all end up in the same app.
Recording phone calls
Attach the card to the back of your phone with the magnetic ring. The bone-conduction microphone picks up the vibrations of the handset, so both sides of the call are recorded without installing anything on the phone.
Hands-free start
Start with one press on the device, from the app over Bluetooth 5.3, or let voice activation trigger the recording as soon as someone speaks.
From audio to notes
Files are stored on the 64 GB memory, then synced to the app over Bluetooth or copied as MP3 over USB. In the app, AI turns them into a transcript and a structured summary.
FAQ
Do I need to install anything on my phone to record calls?
Only the companion app to retrieve and process the recordings. The call capture itself is done by the bone-conduction microphone.
Can I use it without my phone nearby?
Yes. The recorder works on its own and stores audio on its 64 GB memory; you sync later.
